Resolutions: Week 5

I got on the scale this morning and the numbers are in: 186.0. I imagine that extra weight is a result of the two Krispy Kreme donuts I had yesterday. It could also be a result of the Flamethrower burger I got from Dairy Queen on Saturday, too. Hey, I never said I was perfect, but I certainly was hungry Saturday night.

This week has flown by. I’m getting more and more active. Not necessarily exercise active, but doing more around the house and going out more. When I do go out, I make a conscious effort to park further away so I walk more. The weather looks like it’ll be getting better, too, so maybe I can go walking around the track today.

In other news, the vitamins are really helping me out. I’ve got more energy, more endurance, and my mind is clearer. On Thursday, I cleaned the fridge out. I love opening the door and seeing it not stuffed full of junk.

Emeals is getting better, but I’m still finding recipes that sound great, but need some tweaking. For instance, this past week I made a Philly cheesesteak pizza. Sounds great, right? It would’ve been awesome if I hadn’t put the mustard on the pizza crust. I was only following the recipe, but it ruined the whole pizza. I ate it, but should I make it again, I will not be putting mustard on it.

Finally, the water situation. I just need to buckle down and drink it. The weather is going to be fabulous this week, with a couple of days in the upper 70s, so I’ll be open to drinking water more. I have a hard time drinking water when I’m cold because the only way I can drink water is when it’s ice cold. I’m gonna get it done, though. I’m not giving up.

Well, that’s my update for this week. Hopefully the scale will have a lower number next week. That’s my goal. Getting healthy is a slow process, but the end result is totally worth it. Until next time, stay healthy my friends!
