Progress! I stepped on the scale this morning and I was down 2/10 of a pound. 186.2. Maybe not the pound or two I was hoping, but I’ll take it!
I did better all around this week, and even went walking at the track twice. The first time I did a solid mile, and the second time I did 1.3 miles. Water is getting better, and I’m working on eating healthy. I gave Emeals a break this week because there was a lot of seafood and just icky sounding meals, but I was intentional about finding recipes that I could make healthy.
In other parts of life, I have yet to hear back about the job, although I still have another day before the deadline, and my car is sick. 😦 Bummer. I’m not sure what’s going on, but it sounds like it’ll be an expensive fix. When I say expensive, I mean around $500. That may not be a lot to you, but for someone unemployed, it’s a lot. I’m trying not to worry about it, but it does worry me. I want to have a reliable car for my future job. I do have a backup plan in place in the event I don’t get this one job, so that’s a plus.
Also, I’m going to be attempting my second Bob Ross soon. My first one still isn’t dry, but I have it set up in a safe location so my easel is free to use. I’m really looking forward to it, too. Painting is calming to me. I get so focused on making a pretty picture that I forget all my troubles for a while. This Saturday, my mom and I are going to the library to check out their new creative space. From what I understand, for a minimal fee, you can sew, edit videos and photos, use a Cricut machine, and all kinds of things. I’m eager to see what all is available. If I can afford it, maybe I’ll make a few blankets and sell them!
So, even though life is throwing me a few lemons, I’m working on making those lemons into some lemonade, or a tasty lemon curd. Ha Ha! Life goes on, my friends. Until next time, stay healthy!
