Resolutions: Week 7

I cannot believe I’m already at week 7! How are we almost into March? Time has really flown by this year. I had quite the interesting week, too, so let’s get started.

Despite all the moving around I did and the water I drank, I weighed in this morning at 187.2. Bummer. I’m not going to let it get me down, though. It’s a small bump on a long road.

I gave Emeals a break for a week because the menus they had were not my cup of tea. I don’t eat seafood, and I’ve hit my limit of pork tenderloin. So, I turned to Pinterest for some ideas and they weren’t too bad! I’m down to the nitty gritty in the fridge, and the only thing I have for tonight is hot wings and fries, but yesterday I made grilled chicken kebabs, mac ‘n’ cheese, and a salad kit I picked up at Aldi. Oh, and a fruit salad. The kebabs were delicious. I marinated them overnight in a Caribbean Jerk marinade made by Lawry’s, and it was so good. Very light, very springy.

Exercise wise, I found out that I can do exercise challenges on my FitBit! And it’s free! I have already finished one, and am starting on another one. And did you know, you can challenge friends if they have FitBits too? I didn’t know that! I may have to throw down the gauntlet with my dad. Ha!

Vitamins are going okay. I’ve forgotten to take them a few days in a row. I take them at night, but this week I’ve been so tired and battling all the sick bugs flying around that they never cross my mind until I open the fridge in the morning. I’ve gotta figure out a way to take them, because they are helping. I ordered a new flavor of the Omega-3 from Melaleuca: Mango Tango! When the Lime Sorbet is finished, I’m gonna crack that one open and see how it tastes.

All in all, this week has had its share of ups and downs, but I made it and am in a pretty good mood right now. That may be just the coffee, but I don’t think so. The sun is shining, my oil paintings are drying (or at least trying to dry), and I have a few ideas on how to make some extra cash to tide me over until I can get a job. Later this week, I’m going to make a post about Melaleuca to just tell you my experience with it. It may be something you’re interested in trying! Until next time, stay healthy my friends!
