Resolutions: Week 8

I stepped on the scales today and weighed in. 187.4. Yep. I gained another 2/10 of a pound. It’s on me, though. I wasn’t near as active as I should’ve been. I tried to remedy that today by being intentionally active.

Vitamins are going okay. I think I’m getting to the end of the bottle, so I’ll be making a trip soon to replenish the ole vitamin supply.

Emeals. Emeals, Emeals, Emeals. It did okay for the first couple of days last week, but Friday? Mm. Mm-mm. Nope. Friday was something called ‘Beefy Beans’, but I ended up calling it ‘Cowboy Beans.’ Y’all…..sigh. Let me tell you what happened. I was doing the grocery shopping on Wednesday, and I felt like the recipe for ‘Cowboy Beans’ called for a lot of beans considering it’s supposed to feed three people. Three cans of pork and beans and one can of grilling beans. Four cans of beans! I thought, well maybe my counter in my brain is off and it’s less than what I’m thinking. Nope. Y’all………this past weekend was horrible. There was enough natural gas produced that could’ve rivaled any natural gas company. And these toots were stinky ones, too. I mean, you could’ve bottled the smell, dropped it on some terrorists, and they would’ve surrendered instantly. There were so many beans. Oh my goodness. We still had some left today, y’all. They got thrown out. I am never making that recipe again. Lol. It was a horrible weekend. My stomach hurt so bad from all those beans. I hope y’all had a good laugh over that. My mom and I sure did.

Tonight’s meal was much better. Barbecue meatloaf, tangy roasted potatoes, and lemony green beans. I even got a thumbs up from the picky eater of the household!

My water intake needs some help. I can tell I’m dehydrated, but it’s so cold out, I just shiver thinking about drinking anything cold, including water. I’ve always battled drinking water. I hope I’m not the only one with that issue. Maybe I’ll try to put some fruit in it or something. Water is essential for your body to run properly, and I can tell a difference when I’m fully hydrated.

Well, that is my update for this week. I know it’s late, but I’ve been on the go all day trying to work all these beans out of my system. I’m hoping for a lower number at next week’s check-in! Until then, stay healthy my friends and don’t eat too many beans!
