I have some pretty good news to share. My weight this morning was 188.2. I’m down 2/10 of a pound, but at least the arrow is pointing down instead of up!
Yesterday was Memorial Day, so food was a big deal. Grilled hamburgers (it’s crazy hot here, so I used the indoor grill), potato salad, coleslaw, onion rings (baked ,not fried), and popsicles for dessert. I wish you could have seen the grease rolling off those burgers. I had to empty the grease trap once before the burgers were even done! I’m so glad that stuff is sitting in a bowl instead of my arteries. I did enjoy a banana popsicle, too. Brought back childhood memories of hot days, sunburns, and fireworks.
My caregivee is making progress. They can move their hand a little bit, and I’ve been trying to take them on walks to strengthen their legs. They can wear regular tops, now, too, which is progress. I’ve been having them wear sleeveless tops, which they hate, but it was too painful for them to wear a regular short sleeved top.
I think Satan saw all this progress and decided to throw me a curve ball this week in the form of fleas. Yep. Both cats have them. I gave them baths, and picked up some flea stuff from the vet and vacuumed the house. I need to vacuum again today, maybe before we leave for therapy.
I’ve been taking my vitamin at night before bed, and I think I see a difference. I much prefer the tablet instead of liquid. I’ve also been taking a chewable of L-Theanine at night before bed, too. The best way I can describe how it works for me is that it’s like a dimmer switch on my brain. It settles my brain so that I can get to sleep. I’m having more restful sleep, too, which is a plus. Restful sleep means more energy and alertness to take care of everything I need to during the day.
Well, that’s my update for this week. I have a lot to do today. Laundry, giving my caregivee a shower and wash their hair, therapy, calling the chiropractor, dishes, etc. Until next time, stay healthy my friends!😁
