Well, after breakfast and a cup and a half of coffee, I was passing the scale on the way to the laundry room and remembered I needed to weigh myself. This week’s results are in: 187.2. I’ve lost a pound! Yay! Popsicles for everyone! 😂 Just kidding. Slightly.
This past week has flown by. Between therapy, running errands, trying to keep up with laundry, dishes, bills, and trying to stay sane, I’ve managed to lose that pound. I’ll take it.
Yesterday, I got a bit of a break and was able to spend a few hours cross stitching. Today is going to be packed with laundry, giving my caregivee a shower, taking them to therapy, and making supper. Speaking of supper……..
Let’s talk eMeals. I’ve decided to cancel my subscription to them. Last week’s menu came out, and nothing sounded or looked appetizing. I think they’re trying to compete with some of these meal subscription companies, and the people in my household are just not into gourmet, kale-infused food. My caregivee can’t even eat kale because they’re on blood thinners. I needed to find a replacement for eMeals so I wouldn’t be tempted to eat out all the time. Cue the journey down rabbit holes in the App Store. I found one, I’m happy to say! It’s a Food Network app. There are tons of recipes, and I made one of them yesterday. Chicken a la King. Love that stuff! And it was mostly from scratch too. Tonight will be a salad with grilled peaches and bacon. Since it’s going to be 90 degrees out and we don’t have air conditioning in the front part of the house, minimal cooking is the priority.
I’m keeping up with my vitamins as well. Taking them at night seems to help a lot. I remember to take them, and I’m noticing that my energy levels are enduring.
Well, that’s my update for this week. My caregivee has a checkup with the surgeon this week, so if you’d say a prayer for good reports, we’d appreciate it very much. Until next time, stay healthy my friends! 🤗
