Don’t you just love it when people say they’ll do something, and then they change their minds? It’s so frustrating!
Hello, my friends! I’m speaking of people in general, but I include myself in that grouping. I get so mad at myself when I change my mind. Last time I wrote, I was changing my room around and decided not to move the computer desk. Well, I ended up moving it. It was only a twisting of sorts, so I’d have more room to get to my closet, but still.
The room change went fairly well. I have so much more space to walk around, and even Gracie enjoys having space to just stretch out on the floor! The room feels bigger. I did end up with a couple more night terrors of arachnids crawling all over me, but I survived.
I don’t remember if I’d mentioned making a couch for a cousin of mine, but I finished it a couple of days ago. It is so cute! I shipped it out today, and showed her pictures of it. She really seemed to like it a lot!
My left shoulder and arm hurt so much yesterday. You know how it feels when you accidentally hit your elbow on something? Yeah. It was like that but all day. I think it was because the couch gave me a bit of trouble trying to crochet the seams together. It was a lot of fun to make, though. I’d probably make one again, but not this year. Give me a year or two to recover. 😂
In any case, life here goes on. I’m starting to get geared up for my fall planting. I’ve figured out that I want to either plant Russian sage or salvia behind the rose trellis. I have yet to purchase that, too, but I know what I want. Just think……..beautiful bluish purple sage or salvia behind an arbor of climbing roses.😍 I just hope that God will help me keep them alive. The company I want to purchase the plants from doesn’t start shipping out until September 7, so I have a couple of days, but I’d like to get my order in early. A lot of plants are already sold out on their site. Another option, I suppose, would be to look at gardening centers around here. I’ll look in to whether or not those plants are available locally.
My garden is winding down. The melons are fighting to stick around. I have two watermelons and two more cantaloupes that popped up, but I’m hesitant to pick them. The first watermelon I picked was not even near ripe when I cut into it. I think I must have done something wrong because they are supposed to be more ovally in shape, but mine are round. 🤨 Yeah. I’m stumped. Maybe next year I’ll try just one type of melon.
When I do make the beginnings of the rose garden, I will most definitely keep you up to date. Right now, though, I’m just planning and resting. I also enjoyed a pumpkin pie mini Blizzard from Dairy Queen today. It was so delicious, and it’s the perfect size.
Well, that’s my update for today. Once I get things set in stone what I’m planting and stuff, I’ll let you know. I have a knit blanket to finish, and I have other things on my plate as well to deal with. Love you all and until next time, stay healthy my friends!
