Happy October, my friends! Can you believe this year is almost over?
I love October. The pumpkins, the changing leaves, the nip in the air. Where I live, October marks the end of our summer weather. We have quite a long summer, but when October rolls around, it changes to fall rather quickly. The leaves are starting to change, the sun is bright, and I felt the nip in the air when I fed the cats this morning.
My Christmas gift making is in full swing. I have two beanies finished and a third almost done. Two washcloths are done and I’m slowly making progress on the quilt. I want to get everything done and possibly shipped before Thanksgiving this year because I feel like America is going to be having issues after Election Day. Whether you’re a Trump fan or a Biden fan, it doesn’t matter. I think we all know that things are going to get crazy.
The important thing is to stay grounded in God, stay grounded in His Word (the Bible), and get out and vote what you believe. Then pray that the votes are protected from any kind of cheating or rigging.
Enough of that. I hope y’all are having a good week. I’ve been working on this post for two days now. Every time I get a good post going, I feel checked about what I say and end up deleting the entire thing.
I went online yesterday to finally get my bulbs ordered and they were sold out. There was also only one rose plant left. That kind of bummed me out. I’d love to plant some plants. They help with my anxiety. They help me de-stress. Yard work really is calming for me.
Other than everything I’ve mentioned, nothing much is going on. The diet app I was using decided to stop working for me. I think that the company is trying to push me to pay for things. I’m not going to do that. I can count calories. Right now, I should be eating around 1500 calories a day based on my lifestyle. Most of the time I’m under target, but every once in a while I binge. Sometimes a girl just needs a few peanut butter cups.
I love you all friends, but I need to get a move on. I have groceries to order, bills to pay and my hair is sopping wet. Until next time, stay healthy my friends.
