Hello, my friends! It’s been a while since I’ve written. I’ve been working my fingers to the bone to get these beanies done.
I finally finished them the other day, only to have one of my mom’s dish towels break. You know the ones. They hang on the oven door. She has several of them thanks to my grandma, but one of them broke. Since I had some cotton yarn available, I decided to find a pattern for a knit one and set off on my next crafty adventure.
I literally finished it a few minutes ago.
I think it’s pretty cute! My fingers are crazy sore, though.
On top of the beanies, the dish cloths are ready as well. I used three different stitch patterns since my sister likes variety.
Now, back to the beanies. All the beanies are crocheted except for the black, white and grey one. That one was knit as an experiment. I had seen a video on YouTube of someone with a home knitting machine (which I’m now obsessed with) made a flat panel and then sewed it up to make a beanie. I thought that was awesome and attempted it via regular knitting.
Other than that, my roses are growing. For a few days I was pretty worried about whether or not they’d survive, but I noticed bunches of new leaves on both bushes today. 😍 That is super exciting.
Onto Thanksgiving! I have almost everything bought that I need. Got my turkey last week for $5.19! And it’s almost 11 lbs! I’m going to attempt brining the turkey this year, and this is also my first year to make a whole turkey. Lots of new attempts this year! Another thing I did was I bought a little bit of what I needed for the meal every week with the regular groceries. I also cleaned out my spices. I had a spice in there that expired in 2007! 😱
Well, that is my update for now. I’m exhausted, and my fingers need a break from work. Love you all and until next time, stay healthy my friends. 🤗
