Today’s Bible Reading- Exodus Chapters 7-8 & Matthew Chapter 17.
Good morning, friends. I had another fantastic night of sleep. I was in bed between 8 and 8:30, fell asleep, woke up at 11, took my meds, back to bed and woke up at 6:30. Sometimes your body just needs rest.
It’s going to be a cold and rainy day today. The rain has already started.
I was supposed to make lemon fried chicken yesterday, but Gracie was doing so poorly that I ended up just getting some Bojangles. Made me itchy but I was in no mood to fry chicken myself. Half my area must have felt the same way because the line wrapped around the building.
I think Gracie was doing poorly because of the new litter I put in her box. I’ve used that litter in the past, but maybe it’s just super rough on her bladder and kidneys. I’d ordered a different litter and it came yesterday, so I cleaned the litter box out and put the new litter in. She seems to be doing better today, but time will tell. The new litter is finer than the old one. More sand-like instead of gravelly. I’ve used it before and she responded well to it. It’s also lightweight, so it doesn’t hurt my shoulder to carry it around.
Enough talk about cat litter. I have an update on the sock! I am officially on the gusset portion. It’s slow going but I’d rather be slow and do it right than mess it up and have to start over. I have about 11 rows left in the gusset portion before I move on to the heel. I’m going to have to find some videos to watch before I do that because the directions are not very clear to me. It involves wrapping and turning; something I’ve never done in knitting before. Since I’m left handed, I’ll have to look around for videos for lefties.
Other than the above, today is a quiet day (hopefully). Mom’s prescription is supposed to be ready today. I went to the pharmacy on Saturday to pick up her medicine, you know, the meds we’ve had a pill of a time getting. Yeah, the one we actually needed wasn’t ready. They said they had to order it and it’d be ready today. I think I’ll call before I go there because that’s a 30 minute drive one way.
Well, I can’t believe it but it’s almost time to feed the cats and I have yet to shower and get ready for the day. Love you all and until next time, stay safe my friends. ❤️
