Today’s Bible Reading- Numbers Chapter 7 & Mark Chapter 4 Verses 21-41.
Good morning (almost noon), my friends! I hope y’all are well. It’s a beautiful day here today. The sun is shining, it’s supposed to be 68 degrees here today, and the buds are forming on the trees. Exciting reminders that spring is coming!
I’m writing a little late in the morning because I held off on getting my Bible reading in. Pop left for his new job contract this morning. Well, he left just a few minutes ago, but I wanted to make a nice breakfast. I also had to feed the cats, start some laundry and fold and put away already clean laundry. It was quite the busy morning this morning!
I gave myself a good scare this morning around 3:45. I woke up because my shoulder was hurting, and I decided I needed to just go ahead and take my medication. Well, I felt this weight on my feet that was above and beyond my weighted blanket. I look down and Gracie is laying on my feet and she wasn’t moving. I thought I’d squished my cat to death. Turns out she was just fast asleep. She doesn’t normally sleep on my feet, but I guess this time she did. Scared the crap out of me for sure!
Speaking of Gracie, she bugged me most of the morning waiting for her wet food. She bugged me from 7 am until she got her num-nums, so she is fine. She’s napping at the moment, enjoying this beautiful weather.
I have yet to shower and get ready for the day. I have managed to brush my teeth, though, so I’ve got a good start. Since it’s so nice today, I may spend a little time outdoors. Not sure what I’ll do. Maybe just soak up some sunshine. Today is taco day, so that’ll be a simple fix. We grilled a lemon garlic pork tenderloin last night for supper, and was it delicious! I made mashed potatoes again (because mashed potatoes are pretty affordable), and I had some California blend medley in the freezer. Yum! There’s one plate of food left, so that’ll be lunch today.
Some news on the sock………sad news. I have, unfortunately, flubbed the sock up so much that I don’t believe I’ll have enough yarn to finish it. 😦 I’m not giving up, though. I will get a sock made this year, if it takes me all year to do it. I’m determined to learn how to make socks. I’m going to try using a heavier weight of yarn, and just make a prototype. I started on one yesterday and have already flubbed again, so my mind needs a break. My shoulder also needs a break.
That’s my update for today. Love you all and until next time, stay safe my friends! ❤
