Another Chill

Today’s Bible Reading- Deuteronomy Chapters 23-25 & Mark Chapter 14 Verses 51-72.

Good afternoon, friends! It’s a chilly day today. Our high is 60 degrees and it’s overcast with a brisk wind.

This morning Gracie had quite the episode, so I called the vet and have made an appointment for Wednesday afternoon. I’m very nervous about it because my mind is going to all the worst case scenarios. I know Gracie will be 14 this year, so she’s pretty old in cat years, but man, just the thought of having to say goodbye is heart wrenching. This morning was pretty scary, though. It was more like a seizure than a fainting episode.

To get my mind off of that, I took a trip to Lowe’s to purchase some needed things for the flower beds in the front yard. That’s been my morning. Digging in the dirt, planting pansies, and hoping that whatever is wrong with Gracie won’t be so expensive and/or traumatic for her that the better option is to say goodbye. It’s in God’s hands, though, and I know whatever the outcome, He’ll give me the grace to see me through it. I survived when my Gran passed away. I can survive saying goodbye to Gracie if I have to.

Okay. I’ve got to wipe away the tears and put my big girl pants on. I’m putting things in my head that may not come to pass.

Even though it’s cold outside, it’s a good day to do some gardening. We’re expecting some pretty heavy storms this week, so I may skip the watering of the plants. I know I’m definitely going to have to shower after all this is done. Sheesh! I am one dirty chick! It’s good to get outside and plant things, though.

Tonight’s supper will be breakfast. Pancakes, sausage and scrambled eggs. I’m definitely looking forward to it. I’m also expecting to have to either find a way to pick up Pop’s truck from the mechanic, or see if they’ll deliver it to the house and I can give them a ride back to the shop. That’s my day in a nutshell, folks.

Love you all and until next time, stay safe my friends. ❤
