Today’s Bible Reading- Judges Chapters 6-7 & Luke Chapter 8 Verses 1-21.
Welcome to April, my friends! It’s a beautiful but cold day here. Our high will be in the mid-50s today and we are under a freeze warning for the next couple of nights. I covered the roses last night and I’ll try to remember to cover them tonight and tomorrow. I did notice something yesterday. I have a rosebud! One teeny tiny little thing. It’s so exciting! I can’t wait to see how it comes out.
Today in Maundy Thursday, which is when Christians celebrate the last supper of Christ and his trip to Gethsemane garden. When I was growing up, we’d have a short little Easter revival, and we’d have a service on Wednesday, Maundy Thursday, Good Friday and Saturday. Then there’s an Easter sunrise service and Easter morning service. It’s a very busy time in the Christian world. We celebrate the death and resurrection of Christ. No other faith in the world has an empty tomb! Praise God for the hope we have in Christ Jesus!
Pop is making a quick trip home this weekend. He’ll fly in tomorrow and head back out on Saturday. He wants to pick up the RV. I think he’s had enough of the mask mandates where he’s at. It is getting kind of ridiculous.
Gracie is napping at the moment. She finally got some wet food this morning. She was sleeping yesterday and missed out on it both meals. She ate really well, too. I also gave her fresh dry food ( I do that every day), and I cleaned her water fountain and changed the filter in it.
My menu for next week is put together and I have the grocery list. I may take a trip to the dairy farm to see how much I can get there before going to the store. I’m going to make an Easter dinner for our neighbor, so it’ll be a bit more expensive but worth it.
Well, that is my update for now folks. I have to get myself together to go out shopping. I found out about this app for free wood chips, and I’m thinking about signing up for it. It’s called ChipDrop. I don’t know if I’d get anything out of this area, but it’s worth a shot. It’d probably save me at least $100 of buying wood chips/mulch at Lowe’s. We shall see. Every little bit helps! Love you all and until next time, stay safe my friends.<3
