Today’s Bible Reading- 1 Samuel Chapters 7-9 & Luke Chapter 13 Verses 1-21.
Good morning, my friends! I hope y’all are well. It’s a beautiful day here today! Our weather forecast is sunny with a high of 82 degrees. Currently, it’s sunny and 58 degrees.
Gracie feels a bit better this morning, thank God. The hospital sent me her paperwork this morning to sign. Reality is setting in, folks. I’m nervous about tomorrow. We have to leave no later than 7 am, so my post will probably be late tomorrow. I don’t know if I’ll have to stick around or if I’m just dropping her off, but I’m very nervous. Please help me pray that everything goes well and that she responds well to the surgery.
Poor Gracie. She started bugging me for nom-noms at 6:30 this morning. Breakfast isn’t until 8 am, so she had to wait a while. I gave her dry food, but she wanted the good stuff. She played a little bit, too, so that’s a good thing. I didn’t want her getting overexcited, though.
Today will be a bit busy as I try to keep my mind off the surgery. I have to go to Walmart to pick up more insulin for Mom. We also have a few items I need to get that I wasn’t planning on. I found an interesting snack! Put some peanut butter on a slice of bread, put some chopped walnuts on the peanut butter, drizzle some honey on it and voila! It’s pretty delicious if I do say so myself.
After WallyWorld, I’ll head over to Lowe’s for 8 bags of compost/manure and 1 bag of mulch. I’m going to turn last year’s garden bed into an Eden garden. I think I may use that to plant the rest of my seeds for this year. Just to see how things go. I have plenty of paper bags to cover the ground, and I have a watering can to moisten the paper before laying down the compost and wood mulch.
I also have to return a phone call today. Have I mentioned how much I hate talking on the phone? Well, this convention that’s coming up next week needs volunteers and I was left a voicemail asking me to help out. If it doesn’t interfere with the reception I’m supposed to attend before the convention starts, then I’ll be happy to help out.
That’s my goals for today, my friends. When I write it out, it doesn’t sound like much, but it’s a lot for me to do on a Monday. Oh! I should tell you…………..I have started on a sock again. *snickering* I’m going slow this time and counting every stitch. I don’t want to mess this one up. It’s so pretty! Makes me think of a galaxy. The yarn is hand dyed, and it’s called Blue Vapor. I got it from Hobby Lobby. It’s expensive, so I’m making sure to be chill and relaxed while crocheting. One thing I do is put on old radio programs. It helps a lot. If you have TuneIn, look for a station called Crime Time. It’s old radio dramas and mysteries. I grew up listening to these programs and love them dearly.
Well, that’s my update for today, folks. I have breakfast to make myself and a phone call to return. Love you all and until next time, stay safe my friends.<3
