Today’s Bible Reading- 2 Samuel Chapters 23-24 & Luke Chapter 22 Verses 31-53.
Happy Late Afternoon/Early Evening, my friends! I hope you’ve had a good day. It’s been eventful here!
Gracie had her appointment today, and they removed the cone and gave her permission to roam free with one caveat- should she excessively lick her incision area, the cone has to go back on.
Needless to say, she is one happy kitty cat! I washed her fountain and put a new filter in, and washed her food bowl. I moved both back to my bedroom as it’s getting warmer out, and her food needs to remain cool to stay fresh. I also moved her litter box back to it’s normal spot. She’s already used it and she’s already munched away and had a few drinks of water.
One think I wasn’t counting on was the giant hairball she hacked up! Of course, she’s been in a protective cone for two and a half weeks, and her summer shedding is in full swing. I expect a few more hairballs in the coming days as she catches up on lost grooming time.
The garden is doing well. I found out today that I’m mulching my potato plants wrong, so I’ll have to fix them. I also found a vintage pattern for socks! Yes. The sock drama is still around. This pattern, though, is done on straight needles! I’m very interested to see how it all turns out. I’m much more comfortable with straight needles. I digress, though. The garden. I’ll be fixing the potato plants tomorrow because I am wiped out.
When we got home, I went into overdrive to get Gracie back to normal as much as possible. I also cleaned the kennels and sprayed them down with Thieves’ Oil, and hosed them off. After that, I towel dried them and then disassembled and put them back in their boxes.
Now, I’m sitting here enjoying the coolness of my room and ready for bed. Well, in my brain I’m ready for bed. I have to actually get my pajamas on. Gracie is definitely trying to work up another hairball. Plus, she gets a little car sick as well, and we were in the car from noon until four in the afternoon. On top of that, she was poked and prodded by the vet, so she’s had a rough day. Please pray that her stomach will settle, though. I don’t want her stitches getting ripped from puking.
That’s my update for today, folks. I may get my pajamas on, clean up Gracie’s puke and then relax in bed and watch some TV. Love you all and until next time, stay safe my friends. ❤
