Add it to the List

Today’s Bible Reading- 1 Kings Chapters 12-13 & Luke Chapter 24 Verses 36-53.

Good morning, my friends. I hope you’re well. It’s a bit nippy this morning! At the moment, it’s 53 degrees, but we’re expecting a high of 70 today and partly sunny. Our humidity level is down to 93% as well. In other words, it’s going to be a beautiful day!

My list of goals yesterday was not fulfilled, so I’ve added everything to today’s list. I did manage to check the garden, and Mom had a prescription that needed picked up. I had to make a trip to the vet to pick up Gracie’s flea medication, and she managed to hack a hairball up my clean sheets. She’s working on another hairball, too. She sheds so much this time of year.

What’s taking my time up is that I’ve recently become more involved in my political party. I have met this group of people that are really trying to change the way the Republican party operates. We have a lot of people in the party that say they’re Republicans, but then they go off and vote like a Democrat or worse. We call them RINOS—Republican In Name Only. I’m sure the Democrat party has some of those too. Bernie Sanders is a good example. He runs under the Democratic party, but he’s actually a Socialist/Communist. He wants America to be like Russia. Now, no offense meant if you’re from Russia and you’re reading this, but I don’t want to be like Russia. I’m American. I want to be American. Anyways. The group I’m in is a grassroots group, but we’re really making headway. We have a strategy that works and we’re trying to get other people aware and open to it. If properly implemented, we can weed out the RINOS and replace them with true American patriots.

I digress, though. It’s going to be a beautiful day and I have happy and healthy potato plants and one little carrot. I also have one little Roma plant popping up. I only need to take off the top sheet and the blanket to wash from Gracie’s hairball yesterday, and I got my hair washed yesterday, so I don’t have to worry about that! I’ve also got some really great ideas for food this coming week. Sunday is Mother’s Day, and Mom always requests chili dogs and either chips or popcorn. That’s a quick fix. I’m contemplating an attempt to make homemade Beef ‘N’ Cheddar sandwiches. These are popular sandwiches from Arby’s and I recently saw a video on making homemade versions. I don’t have the money to make my own roast beef, but I can purchase some from the deli and warm it up. I also found a video showing how to make a homemade version of White Castle sliders. I’m definitely down for that one. I remember going up to Michigan every year for Christmas, and we always stopped in Ohio to fill up the car and get some White Castle sliders. Happy memories!

Well, y’all, my coffee cup is empty and I have yet to read my Bible. I wanted to get this written before I forgot or became sidetracked. Love you all and until next time, stay safe my friends. ❤
