Saturday Goals

Today’s Bible Reading- 1 Kings Chapters 16-18 & John Chapter 1 Verses 29-51.

Good morning, my friends! I hope you’re well today. It’s promising to be another beautiful day here. The weather forecast predicts a sunny day with a high of 74 degrees. Perfect day to get some yard projects done.

I had a rough night of sleep. One, we had Burger King for supper and while it was actually very delicious, I had a bout of heartburn. The second reason I had a bad night was due to Gracie waking me up at 1:30 this morning. I was already kind of awake, but was trying to get back to sleep. I’m glad she woke me up, though. Her reason was because her food bowl was empty and she was hungry. Poor thing. Would y’all help me pray that she starts gaining some weight? She looks so much healthier, but she still needs to get back to a healthy weight for her size. Nine pounds is a good weight for her.

Speaking of Gracie, she gave up another massive hair ball on my computer chair. Tis the season for hair balls! Currently, she’s on the bed here with me trying to decide what she wants to do: look out the window or nap.

I have a few things on my plate today. I’ve started landscaping the front flower bed, and I’m wanting to landscape what was supposed to be the wildflower flower bed. What I’m going to do is just lay down some mulch on a weed barrier. Maybe that’ll discourage the cats from using it as a litter box. The second thing is that I’d like to put a small retaining wall at the end of the rose bed. We have an issue with erosion when it rains, and I’d like to fix that. I’d also like to transplant the daffodil bulb to the rose bed, and maybe I should move the bird feeder to the wildflower bed. Or move the bird bath. One of the two, so things are even.

I also have a meeting on my agenda, and I have cat food to purchase. I should have gotten it when I was out yesterday, but I didn’t. I didn’t know I was going to have a meeting.

All in all, it’s going to be a busy day! Mulching the flower beds is promising to be much less expensive than using rocks. I think to mulch the flower beds and put in a retaining wall at that one end will cost around $100, whereas using rock looks to be around $450.

That’s all for now, folks. Love you all and until next time, stay safe my friends.❤️
