Life

Finally!

Today’s Bible Reading- 1 Chronicles Chapters 1-2 & John Chapter 7 Verses 32-53.

Good morning, my friends. I hope you’re well. It’s a beautiful day here. Our high today is expected to be 83 degrees, and it’s promising to be a mostly sunny day.

I check on the garden yesterday through my binoculars, and it’s doing well. The onion are very happy. So are the potato plants. The roses have perked up since their watering, but I think I’ve lost two of the creeping Jenny.

Gracie is having a good day so far. She’s eaten and drank some water. She’s on the bed with me now, just chilling and waiting for wet food. I’m having an issue with the wet food. It keeps going out of stock and then takes several weeks to come back. That’s not cool when Grace only eats chicken or lamb. I may have to make a run to Petco, which is an hour away. It’s not a bad drive, but with the gas situation still not fully worked out, I have to be wise about how much gas to use.

In other news, I have finished the sock!

Isn’t it awesome?! I’m so excited. Then came the ultimate test. Does it fit? I’ll let you see for yourself.

Ha! Finally! Thank you, Jesus! I have enough yarn to make a matching sock, and I have another skein in a different color, but thank God for a pattern that works!

It’s just the right length, too. High enough at the ankle that it wouldn’t slip down in my shoes, but low enough that it’s not necessary to fold over. Vintage patterns for the win!

Okay, I’ll get off the high horse now. It’s just exciting. I made a goal of learning to make a sock, and it happened! Thank God for all His help!

I didn’t get anything accomplished yesterday other than finishing the sock. My migraine threatened a return all day, and it’s still in the background trying to come back, but I need to take it easy. I do need to catch up on bills today, and I think I better get the groceries in. It’s forecasted to be very warm next week, so either I’ll invest in a little indoor grill, or we’ll be grilling a lot next week. I may look around for one of those indoor grills. We’ve gone through two of them over the years.

Anyways. That’s my plans today. Bills, groceries, and figure out what to do about cat food. And find an indoor grill.

That’s all for now, folks. Love you all and until next time, stay safe my friends.❤️
