Summer is on its Way

Today’s Bible Reading- 1 Chronicles Chapters 3-5 & John Chapter 8 Verses 1-20.

Good morning, friends. I hope you’re well today. It’s going to be a warm day here. Our high is expected to be 85 degrees, and next week promises to be even warmer. It’s been quite a cool spring, so maybe our summer will be a bit cooler as well. You know, 80s and 90s instead of three digits.

Gracie is having another decent day. She’s working on yet another hair ball. Poor thing. That’s what happens when you’re a long-haired kitty cat.

Mom and I walked out to the garden yesterday afternoon, and it’s really perked up from the watering I gave it. We aren’t expecting rain any time soon, so I’ll water it again on Monday evening. I do have some good news, though. I have a flower on one of my pea plants! Oh, this is so exciting! 🥳. I love peas fresh from the garden. They are so tasty! The potato plants are getting buds as well. I may spray some more need oil on them to keep up the pest prevention. The roses could use a spray too.

Also, I have a little zucchini plant trying to make its way, and the cucumber plants perked up nicely from the watering I gave them this week.

Today is Friday. I wanted to get the groceries in yesterday but that didn’t happen. I did get more cat food. I had to purchase a different brand due to shortages of the brand I’ve been buying, but Gracie is not a fan. 😶. Of course not. That would be simple, wouldn’t it? *Sigh*. That’s okay. Maybe today she’ll try it.

Today I’ll be paying bills and purchasing groceries. Going back to bulk buying meat and sticking with fresh fruits and veggies has been a good thing. It forces me to get creative, but it also makes our meals healthier. I saved some apple seeds, so maybe I can plant them and get a couple of apple trees going. I have Gala seeds, and I have a Honeycrisp that I’m going to save seeds from. I’d like to get some Golden delicious. They’re a great snacking apple.

That’s my update for today, folks. I finally got a full tank of gas yesterday. Cost me an arm and a leg, but at least the tank is full. I also managed to find a recipe for homemade laundry detergent in case we need it.

Love you all and until next time, stay safe my friends.❤️
