Today’s Bible Reading- 1 Chronicles Chapters 26-27 & John Chapter 11 Verses 17-44.
Good morning, my friends. I hope you’re well. I’m in a much better mood today. Although I battled heartburn last night, I did get some restful sleep. Today’s high will only be 79 degrees with a nice breeze, so it’s going to be a lovely day.
I have an update. Well……..a couple of updates. The first update is that we did get the truck key back from our neighbor yesterday. He had intended on keeping the key until his truck is fixed. He told my mom that he only needed it for one more day, but he told me two to three weeks. So which is it? He was a bit upset, but my mom and my dad had a conversation and Pop was concerned about insurance. He didn’t want something to happen to the truck with the neighbor driving, who is not on our insurance. I just wanted the key back because I don’t trust the neighbor at all. So, my parents were pretty level-headed while I just wanted to rambo the situation. I’m glad I didn’t. They were much more tactful.
I’ll agree with the insurance part. I don’t really feel comfortable driving the truck myself. It’s hard for me to see over the dash and the front end of the truck. I really have to stretch my spine out to make it work. That’s quite the sight. I also have to use my big toe to do all the pedaling.
In other news, I walked out to the garden yesterday and am happy to report some findings. More pea pods are growing, the cucumber plants are developing flowers, the potatoes are trying to get some flowers going as well, and the bunnies haven’t gotten my three carrots yet. That’s a good day. Also, my “pleasant surprise” is that as Mom and I were heading out the door to go pick up the cat food yesterday, I happened to look over and saw this……….
My rose bush bloomed! Sadly, I lost the other one, but this one survived! Isn’t that awesome?! It’s such a tiny little bush, but such a beautiful flower! We had a very heavy rainstorm yesterday, so I don’t have to water the gardens today. That’s a plus.
Today is a good day for me, though. I don’t have any pressing issues to attend to, so I’m going to go out shopping for a bike. I’m not saying I’ll buy one today, but I’d like to go to a local store and see their options before I pick a chain. We have a couple of stores in town, but out of the three local ones, two are geared towards professional cycling. I am not a professional by any means. I would just like to have something in the event that we run out of gas or it gets so expensive no one can afford it. Having a bike would help me be able to get to town and get groceries. I know one of the chain stores in town carries trailers you can hitch to a bike. I may invest in one just in case. That’s another purchase for another day.
Well, that’s my update for today folks. Love you all and until next time, stay safe my friends. ❤
