Summer Storms

Today’s Bible Reading- 2 Chronicles Chapters 20-22 & John Chapter 16 Verses 1-15.

Good evening, my friends. I hope you’re doing well and had a great weekend. It was in the 80s here today and currently there is a thunderstorm rolling in.

It was a long, hot, unproductive day for me. I did get some laundry done, and I also got it folded and put away, but that was about it. My energy level was super low today.

I was supposed to make Philly Cheese-steaks for supper, but then Pop brought in over a dozen eggs that were about to expire. Then, I made the decision to make a frittata, but it was so hot I ended up getting fast food. Do I regret it? A little. It was just too hot.

I’m thankful for the thunderstorm, though. It’ll help me sleep well tonight.

There are several flowers on the tomato plant now. I’m looking forward to summer time tomatoes. The cucumbers are so loaded with flowers, I don’t know what I’ll do with all the extras. The plants have almost completely overtaken the trellises now. I didn’t really get a good look at the garden today because I was distracted by a baby robin sitting in the yard. I think it was learning to fly and its wings weren’t quite strong enough to get him back to his nest. The tree I believe he came from was loaded with adult robins who weren’t very happy I was there. I tried to shoo him back over to the tree to keep him safe from the cats. I hope it worked. I didn’t want to go back and look because I don’t think I could handle seeing a cute little baby bird dead. He was the cutest little bird, though. He still had little tufts of baby bird fluff around where I would expect ears to be, and it made him look like a grumpy old man. It was adorable.

I just had to take a break and move the tomato plant a little so it could catch some of the rain. We’re getting quite the storm right now. I’m grateful for it.

That’s my update for today, folks. It’s been a very draining day today and I’m ready to wind down. Love you all and until next time, stay safe my friends. ❤
