Where’d the Rain Go?

Today’s Bible Reading- 2 Chronicles Chapters 26-31 & John Chapter 17 Verse 1- Chapter 18 Verse 24.

Good morning, my friends. I hope you’re well. We never received our thunderstorms yesterday. I wonder if it rained last night, though. It was starting to lightning when I drifted off, and this morning is a bit foggy.

Our high today is expected to be 86 degrees with a 30% chance of rain. If it rained last night, then I have no worries about the garden.

Speaking of the garden, the cucumbers and zucchini have taken off! I’m afraid they’re going to choke out the one little pea plant I have in that particular garden bed. The cucumber plants are just loaded with baby cukes now. I’m going to be giving some away, I’m sure.

I have an update for you about my neighbor’s mom. The hospital has sent her to hospice. She has pneumonia in one lung, but her kidneys have failed. I don’t expect her to make it through the weekend. That’s going to be an experience. I’m not sure how her son will react to losing her. Either he’ll pick himself up or he’ll go on a bender. Either way, prayers for the family are appreciated as they are about to go through this hard season.

On a much more positive note, my best friend is coming to visit. She’ll be here on Father’s Day weekend. She had wanted to come the week after that, but her job reneged on their deal, and they told her she could only have the weekend before off. She wasn’t very happy about that. At least she gets to come, though! I haven’t seen her in years. It’ll be nice to catch up and chill out.

I didn’t realize it was Wednesday until I saw the amount of Bible reading for today. Sheesh! I’m not going to complain, but it looks like I’ll be busy for a while. I wanted to write this before I started reading, in case I was distracted and forgot.

In other news, I’ve whittled down car choices to what our next car will be. Once the Blueberry gives its last, we’ll be getting a Jeep Renegade. It’s small, it’s on a list of cars that are good for disabled people, including people with mobility issues (my mom), and it still has cargo space so I can haul things. I’m already starting to shop around and look for the best prices. Even the used ones are a bit pricey, but if we can save up, we can get one. The tax return will help, too, if it ever comes.

Well, that’s my update for now, folks. I have a lot of Bible reading to do, and I need to get myself a mug of coffee before I embark on it. Love you all and until next time, stay safe my friends.❤️
