Today’s Bible Reading- Psalm Chapters 22-24 & Acts Chapter 20 Verses 1-16.
Good morning, my friends. I hope you’re well. It’s an overcast day here today. Our high is expected to be 85° with a 70% chance of rain. Kind of a nice break from the heat!
I had plans for yesterday. I wanted to go to Lowe’s and get some contractor paper. I wanted to work on the garden and just chill. I wanted to put an order in for wood chips. I did go to Lowe’s, but all I ended up getting was a couple of Tiki torches and some fuel.
So what happened? A rough Friday night happened. I went to bed, but my knee and ankle were not happy with me at all. It took quite a while for me to get to sleep. I did sleep, though, and when I woke up, my ankle was still pretty tender.
As I prepared to go to Lowe’s, my ankle really started to give me fits, and I almost backed out of going. Instead, I went but planned on trying to walk out whatever cramp was happening. It worked for a small time, but when I got back to the car, my ankle had another fit and I thought I wasn’t going to be able to drive. I went and picked up some food, came home and put my ankle up for the rest of the afternoon.
Lowe’s was completely wiped out of the contractor paper, and I guess that’s a good thing. Had they had some in stock, I would have attempted to work on the garden. Mom pulled up the two physical therapists that she watches and does daily exercise with- Bob & Brad. They have a YouTube channel. Anyways. She was looking for what might be causing my ankle problem. The closest thing we could find from Bob and Brad’s explanations and demonstrations was inflammation of the Achilles’ tendon.
Seeing as how I use that particular ankle for a bit more than just walking and I’ve had an injury on that ankle before, I’d be inclined to go with that diagnosis. They gave some exercises you can do to help the healing process, and they recommend ice and rest as well. I’ll try that out and see how things go.
Today’s dinner will be pasta, garlic bread and some cucumbers. I was going to make something else, but this sounded better.
That’s all for now, folks. Love you all and until next time, stay safe my friends.❤️
