Back to Baking

Today’s Bible Reading- Psalm Chapters 28-30 & Acts Chapter 21 Verses 1-16.

Good morning, my friends. I hope you’re well. It’s another day for ducks here! Our high will be around 77° with a 90% chance of rain. It’s raining right now, as a matter of fact. A good cozy day.

Thank the Lord it’s going to be cooler, though, because I have a load of chocolate chip cookies to make for an event tonight. My local Republican Party is having their annual cookout, and I offered to make a dessert. Cookies are a good choice as they are super portable and less messy.

I did get the cat food yesterday, and I changed my sheets and my mom’s sheets, and I flipped my mattress. I also put some laundry in. I did not, however, get my room vacuumed or the banking done. 😶

Seeing as how I am already behind schedule, I’ll probably get the banking in tomorrow. I have to wash my hair today, and the cats have yet to be fed.

On the plus side, I got a good night’s sleep. I was probably asleep by 9:30 or 10 last night, and I woke up once, around 1 am, took my thyroid medication and used the restroom. After going back to bed, I was out until about 7 this morning, so my body needed a rest.

Tonight’s cookout will be at a local lake, but I’ve never been there before. They encouraged people to bring games and lawn chairs and even fishing equipment and boats. I don’t have a boat, but I’ll definitely take a lawn chair and my favorite card game, Dutch Blitz.

I only had one pumpkin plant come up, and I’m so thankful for the rain, so it can grow strong and healthy. I’m having trouble getting the contractor paper, though. The store inventory says they have 13 rolls of the paper in stock, but there’s none on the shelf. It may be in the back, but it’s hard to find an employee to get help from. I will get the paper, though, and the day I lay it down will be the day I put an order in for wood chips.

Now, seeing as how I have a lot to do today, I believe I’ll get the cats fed before I shower and get ready for baking. Love you all and until next time, stay safe my friends.❤️
