Today’s Bible Reading- Psalm Chapters 44-46 & Acts Chapter 25.
Good morning, my friends. I hope you’re well and have had a good weekend. It’s a bit stuffy here today. Our high is expected to be 90* with a 40% chance of rain. It may just do that too, as our humidity at the moment is 97%.
Yesterday was a fairly chill day. I was a bit grumpy, but I think it’s due to a bad night’s sleep. For lunch, I grilled steak and made baked potatoes and salad. Steak was on sale this week, although still incredibly expensive, but Mom was hankering for it and I told her if it was on sale I’d get some.
This week’s menu includes BLT sandwiches, Chicken with yellow rice and peas, tacos, ribs with salad and fruit and hamburgers and fries. A good bit of that will be on the grill because it’s going to be a hot week.
Today will have me going out and about. Saturday was a bust, so I need to get Mom’s prescriptions today. She’s not out yet, but she’s low. I also need to get a transfer shovel so when my wood chips get here, I can scoop them up easily and put them in the wheelbarrow. I also need to get cat food. Stubby has been making the neighbor’s house his home lately. I don’t know if he likes her food better or what, but I kind of stopped adding him to the mix when I calculate how much food to buy. Wouldn’t you know, he showed up about three times this week.
I don’t know, y’all. Of course, I’ve only been up about 20 minutes, so my brain isn’t completely warmed up yet. I’ll figure it out.
Woops! I went on about a 30 minute rabbit hole there! I was online looking for cat food and completely forgot I was writing! My coffee is now cold as well, so let me top it up and I’ll get back to you in a minute.
Okay. I’m back with a hot cup of coffee and Mom is just waking up. I’ll leave the rest of the coffee for her. What was I talking about?Oh. Stubby sometimes showing and sometimes not. Well, last week, I bought the little single serving packs for Thelma and Bengal, since Stubby hadn’t shown for quite a while, and then he showed up. That’s put a proverbial wrench in my cogs, so I’m going to have to go back to just picking up regular cans. The issue I have is that the store will run out of their favorite food and not have it for a few weeks, so I end up having to rotate. I try to keep with brands that are similar, and I only get chicken or turkey. Gracie loves lamb, but that’s extremely hard to find anymore.
Speaking of Gracie, she fell asleep on my bed waiting for Mom to get up. I’m hoping to get my sheets on today. I also need to wash my pillows. They are flatter than pancakes now. One of the pillowcases is covered in grease. I must be sweating heavily during the night.
Well, it’s now past time to feed the cats and I have yet to read my Bible. I should find some breakfast, too. Love you all and until next time, stay safe my friends. ❤
