In the Quiet of the Morning

Today’s Bible Reading- Psalm Chapter 119 Verses 49-104 & 1 Corinthians Chapter 4.

Good morning, my friends. I hope you’re well. It’s going to be a hot one today. We have an expected high of 91° today with a 10% chance of rain.

Apparently, we had a storm last night. It was starting to thunder and lightning when I went to bed, but I never heard the rain. I fell asleep too quickly. Gracie slept by my head all night. I woke up this morning and she was nestled between my pillow and her pillow. She’s currently waiting for morning nom-noms.

Yesterday I made quite a bit of progress on the sock. I shaped both heel halves, and am now working on the foot. For those of you scratching your heads, the pattern I’m using is vintage, and it uses straight knitting needles instead of the usual double-pointed ones. No knitting in the round for this pattern!

I actually cooked yesterday, but since my nose is still clogged, I didn’t realize I over-seasoned the pork chops. 🥴. They were a bit spicy! Tonight is chicken, yellow rice and peas. Oh, I am so excited for it. I’ll have to pull the chicken out of the freezer, though.

I think I may plant some more herb seeds as well. I’d rather have too many than not enough. Too many can be thinned, and either dried or frozen.

I’m going to continue to work on the sock today and I may actually come close to finishing! I’ve downloaded a pattern that will require working in the round on double-pointed needles, though. I may try that after this sock is done. At some point, I need to learn how to knit in the round!

Well, folks. I hear my mom getting up, and I’ve already heard Gracie bug her once for morning nom noms. Looks like Gracie’s bowl needs refilled, too. Love you all and until next time, stay safe my friends.❤️
