On the Mend

Today’s Bible Reading- Proverbs Chapters 11-14 & 1 Corinthians Chapter 15 Verse 35- Chapter 16 Verse 24.

Good morning, my friends. I hope you’re well. I’m still a bit depressed but the sun is starting to come out. Last night we had thunderstorms like I’d not seen since I was a kid. The thunder boomed so loud my windows were rattling! All night long it stormed. I woke up at midnight to some thunder and took my medicine, and then I woke up at 5:00 to thunder still going. It’s sunny right now, but our high is expected to be 85* and a 50% chance of rain.

I did manage to get my laundry done yesterday. My bottoms are still in the dryer, so I may fluff them up a bit, but the rest has been folded and is waiting to be put away. I put some of it away, but then ran out of steam. I should mention that when I woke up at 5:00 this morning, I went back to sleep. Had it been 6:00 or 6:30, I would have gotten up, but 5:00 is just too early. I didn’t wake up until almost 8:00. Thank the Lord for clean clothes, though! Now I don’t have to rummage around for something that fits or almost fits.

Today’s goals include paying a couple of bills that have been sitting on my desk. It’s a simple matter of putting everything in the envelopes, placing a stamp on them and putting them in the mailbox. I’d also like to get my clothes put away and my room vacuumed. If I get some work done on my sock, then so be it. I’m not going to force it. I tried yesterday and it just wasn’t working. Maybe I can get some work done on it today.

Supper last night was halfway decent. I forgot that the lime juice doesn’t have a squeeze top like the lemon juice does, and I poured WAY too much lime on the meat. Tonight will be BLT sandwiches (BLT stands for bacon, lettuce and tomato), and we’ll have fruit on the side. I had thought about making bacon and eggs, but Mom made eggs for breakfast. Neither one of us likes eggs more than once a day.

That’s all for now folks. I need to take my vitamins and get ready for the day. Love you all and until next time, stay safe my friends. ❤
