Life

Never Forget

Today’s Bible Reading- Proverbs Chapters 19-20 & 2 Corinthians Chapter 3.

Good morning, my friends. I hope you’re well. I woke up a little early this morning, so I thought I’d go ahead and get the day started. I’m already showered and dressed, bed made and ready to get some things done.

Our high today is going to be 83* with no chance a rain. All in all, a beautiful fallish-type day. A good day to sit outside and relax in a chair.

Today is also September 11. A day to remember the lives taken by terrorists 20 years ago this very day. Do you remember where you where when it all went down? I do. I had just woken up. My sister’s birthday is on the 10th, so we had held a party for her. We were home-schooled and Mom had told us we could sleep in a bit before starting school. The phone rang (we had a landline at the time), and it was my Gram calling. She said that some building in New York was on fire. A plane had gone through it. I was still trying to wake up, so I was like, why did a plane go through a building? Remember, I’m 14 years old. I’m in teen brain. So, we turn the tv on and there it is. By this point, both planes have hit. I was trying to understand. My brain was saying, what caused them to fly into the buildings? Medical issue? Trying to avoid something else? What?

Then it comes on that the Pentagon has been hit. Now it starts to click. This is an attack on our country. The rest of that week was just shock. I remember, though, that come Sunday, we had the most patriotic Sunday we could muster, and we tried to point people to Jesus. Churches were packed full of people looking for hope. I didn’t know anyone who had died personally, but I could feel the grief from others. We met one lady who had lost 26 family members in the attacks.

Let’s not forget, though, Flight 93. Full of brave men and women who gave their lives to prevent greater loss.

September 11 was the reason we went to Afghanistan. To take out the terrorists who harmed our country. Today, that same organization is celebrating our loss as a holiday. To them it was like Christmas. God’s judgment be upon those people. Pure evil is what they are, and that feckless, dementia-ridden evil person in the White House is allowing them to keep planes of Americans back from coming home because they’re “celebrating a holiday”. Evil. Pure and simple, folks. Don’t tell me he isn’t aware of the issue. He may have dementia, but he still has enough awareness to know. He wants us to forget what he did, so he comes out with this unconstitutional “mandate”. Nope. Americans will never forget.

We the People are awake. Truly awake. We will get our country back. We will take it back from these terrorist-funding Communists.

Love you all and until next time, stay safe my friends. ❤
