When God Says Nope

Today’s Bible Reading- Isaiah Chapters 1-3 & Galatians Chapter 2.

Good morning, my friends. I hope you’re well. It is a quite chilly 50° right now! Our high today will be 74° and our low will be 49° tonight. 🥶. I just need it to drop down into the 60s during the day so I can break out my sweaters.

Friends, have you ever experienced a nope from God? I have many times. I try to do something and God is like, “Nope, not today.” Well, for some reason, He quite obviously did not want my mom to have her colonoscopy. She went through the prep and everything was running clear as it’s supposed to, but about 45 minutes before we had to leave, she used the restroom and things were not clear anymore. She called the office and they wanted her to go another whole day without eating (she’s diabetic and had already been 24 hours with no food) and they put in an order for a shot of the blood thinner she’s supposed to take.

We were praying about it because we were like, this is the second time this has happened. Maybe God doesn’t want this procedure taking place? Right about that time, we get a notification from the pharmacy that they are out of stock on the blood thinner shot and it’ll take a few days to get it in. There’s our sign. This is a no go. So, Mom called the doctor’s office back and cancelled out.

For those of you who may be thinking, wait, why is she cancelling this out if she needs it? She doesn’t need it. It was supposed to be just a routine once-every-few-years procedure. Not necessary, in other words. Mom didn’t even want to go through it, but her doctor didn’t listen to her and sent in the paperwork anyways.🙄

Anyhoo. So, for whatever reason, God blocked this from happening.

Since Mom has been to hell and back this week prepping for this, I ordered a pizza from Jet’s Pizza. The closest one is over an hour from our house, so I knew it would be a drive. Mom went with me, and we saw some beautiful scenery. I missed a turn, so the hour drive there took an hour and a half. I missed the same turn coming back, so guess what. Yep. An hour and a half back home. Three hours for a pizza. That’s okay. Mom is more than worth it. She loves Jet’s Pizza. We haven’t had any since we visited Ohio a few years ago.

My goals for today are a grocery list made, bills paid, which I just remembered that I didn’t pay a bill I was supposed to yesterday. 🤦🏻‍♀️. I also need to do my laundry.

That’s all for now, folks. I need to help Mom feed the critters outside, and I need to read my Bible. Love you all and until next time, stay safe my friends.❤️
