In A Funk

Today’s Bible Reading- Isaiah Chapters 31-38 & Philippians Chapters 1-3.

Good morning, my friends. I hope you’re well. Yesterday was a funky day for me. It took me half the morning to get my Bible read, and even then it was half-hearted. I get one of those days every now and again. Spiritual warfare at its finest.

I’m still a bit funky today, but I’m forcing myself to read my Bible. There must be something the Lord wants me to read if the enemy is fighting me this hard.

It’s been raining since the last blog post I wrote. Thunderstorms abound today. It was thundering when I went to bed and it’s still thundering and lightning out. Our high today will be 74° with rain.

I made eggs, bacon and pancakes for supper last night, but I didn’t really enjoy it. I’m telling you, this is spiritual warfare. For some reason, the enemy is hitting me hard this week.

Today doesn’t really have a goal, but I do have a bill or two that needs paid. I also need to get my grocery list together and see what’s on sale this week. Supper tonight will be stroganoff.

Last night, while I was making supper, our electricity almost went out. We haven’t had that in a long time! I do have alternative methods for cooking available, thank God, so if that should happen, I can still cook.

In other news, all three of my Roma tomato seeds have sprouted and are doing well. I have the pot they’re planted in sitting on the porch steps. They’re getting quite the watering! The pot has excellent drainage, though, and it’s quite large, so I’m not too concerned about overwatering. The cucumbers, however, are flowering and the vines are spreading, but the baby cukes aren’t growing. I wonder if the ground is just too cool for them now.

I noticed that Rabbi Jonathan Cahn has posted a new prophetic warning on his YouTube channel. He is urging us to pray for revival in America and in our personal lives. Considering the stinker I’ve been this week, I need revival myself. I’m going to start praying for that in my life and in the lives of my fellow Americans. That’s our only hope at this point. Only the Lord Himself can save us.

I know that’s ending on a strange note, but we’re living in strange days. Love you all and until next time, stay safe my friends.❤️
