Drying Out

Today’s Bible Reading- Isaiah Chapters 43-44 & Colossians Chapter 2.

Good morning, my friends. I hope you’re well. It’s a beautiful, sunny, DRY day today! Our high will be 77° with a 10% chance of rain.

It’s nice to have a dry day! I love rainy days, but when the backyard starts to resemble a pond, well, then we need a dry day. Too much wet weather can cause crumbling roadways. That’s not cool. As it stand, a pothole capable of doing serious damage to a vehicle (it was recently filled in) has been reopened. I accidentally hit it driving on Saturday, I believe. Wow. I thought my tires were gone, but God preserved them. Praise the Lord! We’d been up a creek without a paddle had that happened.

Today is Monday, so it’ll be puttering around the house. I need to replace the bulbs in the hall light. I have it on all night for Gracie. It’s her night light. Otherwise, she can’t see very well and ends up howling half the night. Mom has requested that I spray bug defense around the house today. I also have yet to tackle that laundry. I know. I like to have decent sized loads so I’m not wasting water.

Sounds like I will be trying to be busy today! I made shepherd’s pie for dinner yesterday. It was so delicious. I forgot to buy garlic bread to go as a side, but I did peel and slice some apple. Oh my goodness. That apple went perfectly with the pie! Savory and sweet. There’s enough leftover of the pie that I can eat for breakfast. I also need to slice some bread up for us for sandwiches. Tonight will be soup and grilled cheese. Tomato soup, to be specific.

It’s just a good day so far. I need to go check on the cucumber plant and see if the rain helped the cukes out at all.

That’s all for now, folks. Love you all and until next time, stay safe my friends.❤️
