Today’s Bible Reading- Isaiah Chapters 48-52 & 1 Thessalonians Chapter 1.
Good morning, my friends. I hope you’re well. It’s promising to be another beautiful and warm day today. Our high will be 82° with no chance of rain.
I didn’t get my laundry finished yesterday, but that’s not my irritation. My irritation is that sometime during the night, either a cat or a possum (most likely a cat) knocked over the planter that held my healthy little tomato sprouts. 😡. I’m going to try to salvage them after I shower and dress, but isn’t that irritating? I had three little Roma tomato plants growing and they were so healthy. Dark green, rich soil, plenty of sun and water. Now I have a mess to clean and see if they’ll survive the shock of being knocked out of their home.
Not really what I needed first thing in the morning, but I can’t let it ruin the rest of the day. It’s too beautiful a day to give in to negative things.
Mom and I had a nice long drive yesterday. We even stopped at an overlook at the lake and walked around for a little while. It was nice to get out a little bit. We came home after getting the errands done and enjoying the lake, and I made tacos. They were so good. Just enough for both of us.
Gracie is a bit puny today but I think she may be working on a hair ball. She seems a bit stressed out, too, so I have classical music playing. Currently playing is Chopin’s Nocturne Op. 37 No. 1.
Today’s goals are to rescue the tomatoes and finish laundry. Also to work on the bank balances. Not much, but it’s enough. I should check on the cucumbers too. I may have one ready!
Supper tonight will be sausage hash and fruit. I still have some grapes and apples. I may give Mom grapes and slice an apple for myself.
I’m still hoping for my wood chips to get here. I’ve seen an increase in tree service trucks with full loads, so maybe soon I’ll get those wood chips. My thoughts have been turning more towards making raised beds to garden in instead of just trying to make my own rows. It would keep things a bit more contained. I’m not sure. I don’t know where I’d get the wood needed to make the beds. Stuff like that is crazy expensive nowadays.
That’s all for now, folks. Love you all and until next time, stay safe my friends.❤️
