Today’s Bible Reading- Isaiah Chapters 53-55 & 1 Thessalonians Chapter 2.
Good morning, my friends. I hope you’re well. It’s going to be a lovely, summery day today. Our high will reach 84° with some clouds and no chance of rain.
Currently, the sun is coming up, there’s quite a layer of fog, and Gracie is chilling on my bed listening to classical music. Currently, the selection is Piano Concerto No. 21 in C Major by Mozart. She seems to enjoy it, but she’s a cat after my own heart. She prefers Beethoven, Chopin, and Debussy (spelling?).
I have a number of cucumbers growing and a couple of them are close to being ready to pick. That’s exciting. I did manage to clean up the Roma tomato mess yesterday and I was able to put the plants back in the soil. I think one of the three plants will make it if nothing has happened to it today. I’m not so certain about the other two. That’s why I planted three seeds. In case two didn’t sprout or something happened.
I have a load of laundry sitting in the dryer that needs fluffed, it I did manage to get the other two loads folded and put away yesterday. Today will be dealing with the load in the dryer and I have one more load that is bedding and some towels.
Our supper tonight will be chicken fried rice. I’m looking forward to it, really. Last night’s hash really came out delicious. I used a different sausage than in the past. It was a local brand. I was concerned it would have a gamey flavor or texture, but it was rather delicious! I also found something out. I have some instant iced tea that I like to use. It’s by the company 4c and they use real sugar instead of corn syrup to sweeten the tea. They also put some lemon in there which really tastes delicious. Well, I started putting one drop of peppermint extract in the glass before I put in the tea mix and the water. It really amps up the flavor! The mint with the lemon? 😍.
Anyhoo. I have yet to get my second cup of coffee, but I also need to get back on my vitamins. My allergies have been terrible lately! My left ear is completely numb and I can barely hear out of it. I believe it’s all the gluten I’ve been eating. I’d love to find a bread recipe that I can use to make gluten free bread. If I could find it, I’d use buckwheat flour. Maybe I’ll try to find it at the store this weekend. I enjoy homemade bread. It tastes so much better.
That’s all I have for now, folks. Love you all and until next time, stay safe my friends.❤️
