Today’s Bible Reading- Jeremiah Chapters 7-8 & 1 Timothy Chapter 2.
Good morning, my friends. I hope you’re well. I dusted off my laptop and am back on it today. I brought it back into my room as I tend to get more work done on it in here rather than in the living room. Strange, I know. My room is a bit calmer than the living room. Quieter, too.
It’s another sunny morning here. Our high is projected to be around 74° with no chance of rain. Side note: I just geeked out a little bit. I finally figured out how to make the degree symbol on my laptop keyboard!
A run to the grocery store is pretty necessary today. We are officially out of bread, eggs, and we have one paper plate left. I also need to add to our coffee stash and Pop has used up all his half & half for coffee. When I say we’re out of bread, I mean I actually toasted the heels today for breakfast. No bread. Not even a crumb. We had six eggs left and I made scrambled eggs with cheese for everyone. Served them with a side of toast and some spiced fruit. For the fruit, I put some frozen strawberries, blueberries and peaches in a bowl to thaw last night, and this morning I drizzled some honey and cinnamon on them and stirred it all together.
Gracie puked up a half hairball this morning, so I’m waiting for the other half to show up. She’s a little puny looking today. Mom said she was up most of the night so maybe she’s just tired. I also put her flea medication on this morning, so she’s taken care of for another month. She’s currently conked out on her pillow.
Last night I gave my parents the option of Philly cheesesteaks for supper or grilled hamburgers. They opted for hamburger, and oh were they tasty! There was a little nip in the air, so while I was waiting on the charcoal to be ready, I sat on the porch and worked on my sock. It reminded me of the days when we went camping. All that was missing was some rain. I think it was trying to rain, but it never did.
Today’s goals are to work on the bank accounts and get my grocery list together. I’ll definitely have to make a run to the store before tomorrow. We’re also out of lunchmeat!
So, all in all, I’ll stay busy today. I’d like to have another night of sitting on the porch knitting. That was quite fun.
That’s all for now, folks. Love you all and until next time, stay safe my friends. ❤
