The Frost is on the Pumpkin (Almost)

Today’s Bible Reading- Jeremiah Chapters 17-22 & 2 Timothy Chapter 1.

Good morning, my friends. I hope you’re well. It’s a brisk 40° here this morning! Our low was only supposed to be around 44° I believe, but it went down to 39°! 🥶. I hope my tomatoes didn’t get bit.

Our high today will be a chill 67° and sunny. A good day to work on my tomatoes. I need to put the stakes in the pot and figure a way to wrap them up. I may use some plastic wrap. We’ll see. I’ll have to tap into my creativity and come up with something.

The tacos last night were delicious! Tonight is supposed to be sausage hash, but alas, I have no sausage. I do have a rack of ribs, though, so I’m going to pop them on the grill and we’ll have cheesy potatoes and salad on the side.😁.

Mom’s Medicare appointment went really well yesterday. The lady who helped her found a much better plan. It’ll go into effect January 1st, and Pop is covered now, too. Yay! It’s hard to imagine my parents being old enough for all that, but they are. I’ll be 35 in April. It’s hard to imagine that as well! I still feel like a teenager. Minus the creaky joints and stiff back, of course.

I forgot I put a load of laundry in yesterday, and it’s sat in the washer overnight. I’ll have to restart it. I didn’t get my sheets changed. Gracie keeps claiming the bed and conking out before I can get the sheets off. She gave up another hair ball on her blanket this morning. I’ll have to wash the blanket. That’s the fourth time this week.

I’m glad today is Wednesday. I’d like to see what all will be at Aldo this week. I’m already out of eggs. Yep. I made some breakfast yesterday and used the last of the eggs. For breakfast today, I may heat up those leftover chicken fritters and make some milk gravy to go on top.

Speaking of food, I was watching a YouTube channel last night by the name of Townsends. The gentleman on there makes recipes from the 18th century. He fried some steaks up in some non-bitter ale. There was a lot more to the recipe but I got stuck on the term non-bitter ale. I did some digging and came up with a brown ale? I don’t drink alcoholic beverages, but I’m willing to give the recipe a shot. It looked absolutely delicious!
