Life

A Cozy Morning

Today’s Bible Reading- Ezekiel Chapters 24-26 & James Chapter 3.

Good morning, my friends. I hope you’re well. Pardon me while I go find my glasses. I need them today.

Okay! Much better! I can actually see what I’m typing now. I could see it before, but the edges blur out when I don’t have my glasses on. That’s astigmatism for ya.

Anyhoo. I woke up around 4:30 this morning and Gracie thought it was nom noms time. She bugged me for some but I told her it wasn’t time yet. Her food bowl was almost empty so I washed it and put fresh food in. She still wasn’t satisfied. I crawled back in bed and rested until about 5:30 then got up again. This time, Mom was up and Gracie bugged her until Mom gave her a small “snack” to tide her over until the official nom nom time, which is 7:00.

She did settle down until 7:00, and now here I am, snuggled in my bed, listening to the heater go, Gracie is next to me almost asleep, and the weather is matching the cozy mood.

Speaking of weather, I had a surprise this morning. I didn’t realize we were expecting rain for today, but apparently, there’s a 50% chance of it! We’ve already had one shower come through, and I imagine more will be on the way. It’s very overcast and our high is expected to be 60° today.

Shepherd’s pie was our dinner yesterday, and it turned out halfway decent. Not as good as the last time, but I was on the fence all morning about whether to make it or not. I still need to preorder our Thanksgiving plates for Thursday. I guess I keep hoping that things will turn around and my sister and her family won’t be leaving for Italy, and we won’t have to travel to Atlanta to see them off.

Sigh. Life doesn’t always go the way we want, does it?

In other news, I have picked up a new crafting technique. Tunisian crochet! I saw a couple of videos on Saturday and went and picked up an afghan hook and some yarn. It’s quite simple to pick up, too. I spent yesterday resting and crocheting.

That’s all for now, folks. Love you all and until next time, stay safe my friends.❤️
